Mark Wright in the frame for new game show

TOWIE star Mark Wright is set to front a new game show opposite Melanie Sykes, which will see men undertaking a series of extreme challenges in order to impress their partners.

Mark - who finished second on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in December - has already flown to Cologne in Germany to film a pilot for My Man Can, which is based on a hit German game show.

It will see its contestants undertaking such tasks as eating raw chillies and limbo-dancing - with their girlfriends having to guess how well they will fare.

And it follows Mark's stint as the co-host of Take Me Out: The Gossip, ITV2's spin-off show to its Saturday night hit Take Me Out.

"Mark is thrilled ITV are taking a chance on him," a source told The Sun. He's wanted to be a presenter for years. If this works, he'll be exactly that.

"It's a non-broadcast pilot at the moment but it's pretty much guaranteed a decent slot. My Man Can is big in Germany and is on TV across the world. It's one of the biggest shows in China."
