Enders duo, Terry Alderton make Let's Dance final
18/02/2012 - 20:51

EastEnders stars Tameka Empson and Laurie Brett, and comedian Terry Alderton have become the first two celebrity acts to make the final of Let's Dance for Sport Relief 2012.
Tameka - aka Albert Square's Kim Fox - and co-star Laurie, who plays Jane Beale - won the viewers' vote in the first show of the series, which sees a string of celebrities re-interpret classic dance routines.
The pair also won over the guest judges, who included Graham Norton, Greg Davies and Keith Lemon, and the audience with their recreation of the Lady Gaga/Beyonce hit Telephone.
"I haven't seen the original, but it can't have been better than that," said Davies, while Graham Norton added, "You could have heated your tea on that it was so hot."
Comedian Alderton, meanwhile, dressed up as Tina Turner to perform to the classic hit Proud Mary - and made it through on the judges' vote over DJs Tony Blackburn and David Hamilton, who recreated Salt n'Pepa's Push It.
Both will reprise their routines on the final in four weeks time.
Others who performed on the night included cricketer Darren Gough - who danced a mambo inspired by West Side Story - and Shooting Stars duo Ulrika Jonsson and Angelos (aka comedian Dan Skinner), who performed El Tango de Roxanne from Moulin Rouge.
The show also featured performances from JLS, who performed their latest single Do You Feel What I Feel, while Jessie J sang her new song Domino.
